Nice catch Beverly! Do the grackles actually fish?!
Beverly Andrighetti: I'm not sure, Elizabeth, but I've never seen them catch any from our pond. This fellow was just looking.
Great capture Bev... it looks as though he's about to get his lunch....petersmile
Beverly Andrighetti: The birds seem to be attracted to the fish, Peter, but I've yet to see them catch any.

Dinner awaits! Nicely captured Bev
Beverly Andrighetti: He went away hungry, Chris. Probably settled for a worm or two.
Oh my! The grackle certainly loos like he is interested in your menu.
Beverly Andrighetti: Yes, the interest is clearly there, Mary, but for some reason the birds don't carry it through.
Time for an early lunch it might be thinking.
Beverly Andrighetti: He may be thinking that, Brian, but the fish have other ideas.

A wonderful angle you captured- and I'm watching out to/at the fishes like the lovely bird!
Beverly Andrighetti: Thank you, Philine. Luckily, like you, the birds just watch the fish. We have lost none of them so far.

Ah... fish for supper smile Or maybe not... I like the concentration of the bird here.
Beverly Andrighetti: It was maybe not, Alan. The fish survived.

great shot Beverley! Did you stay to see if the fish survived?
Beverly Andrighetti: This pond is in our garden, Sarah. The grackle just looked at them and then flew away.
Superb capture with the colours contrast Beverly!
Beverly Andrighetti: Thank you very much, Richard.
Do they ever manage to capture one?
Beverly Andrighetti: We count the fish from time to time, Tom, and so far all are accounted for.
