Oh! Beverly! A wonderful shot! You have managed to capture this perfectly. There is a carousel in Hull, MA that I wont to photograph but every time I show up its closed sad
Beverly Andrighetti: Thank you very much, Frances. This one was located near the harbour in Boston so I have a feeling it runs on a pretty regular schedule.
Fantastic image Beverly! So beautiful how you've lit this!
Beverly Andrighetti: Thank you so much for your kind compliments, Elizabeth.

Very pretty Bev. Where are the children?
Beverly Andrighetti: They were scattered around the place, Chris, but, strangely, none on the carousel.

The colours look good here Beverly but not any takers for a ride?
Beverly Andrighetti: It was surprising to see it empty like that, Chad, as there was a sizable crowd in the area.

Look at that! Who would have thought to display the Stars and Stripes in such a delightful way! I especially like all the other stars, too, Beverly. smile
Beverly Andrighetti: It seems American carousel horses can be very patriotic, too, Ginnie. The star treatment I used for this is one of the new options I found at PicMonkey.
i love carousel shots. this is nicely done.
Beverly Andrighetti: Very much appreciated, Ayush. Thank you.
Love this very much. Funny how the music immediately comes to mind.
Beverly Andrighetti: Yes, those familiar sounds were going around my head as I was working on it, Mary.
That's an interesting treatment!
Beverly Andrighetti: It's one of the new options available at PicMonkey, Tom.

Love the magical lighting Bev
Beverly Andrighetti: This is one of the new options being offered at PicMonkey, Janet. I found it worked very well with this image.

Oh, wonderful recalling happy childhood memories! Do you know the poem by Rilke "The Merry-go-round"?

"With a roof and its shadows dark turns
for a small moment the assembly
of colorful horses, all from that land
that hesitates long before it descends.
True, many are harnessed to the wagon,
yet still they all have courage in their faces;
a fierce, angry lion is one among them
and then and again a pure white elephant."
Beverly Andrighetti: I love how you always manage to find the most lovely & appropriate poems, Philine. Thank you.
