What is it? It is something we don't have here. I am guessing a ground hog.
Beverly Andrighetti: Your guess is correct, Mary. We have a family of them in our neighbourhood.
Please to say what animal is this. Is it quite big?
Beverly Andrighetti: This is a groundhog, libellule.

Here is a picture of him eating our petunias which should give you a better idea as to his size.

Uh-oh. We all know what curiosity does, don't we, Beverly!
Maybe he thinks it's his new home. ; ) Cute capture.
Beautiful photosmile Greetings
And how much wood did it manage to chuck?
Beverly Andrighetti: Don't know how much wood he managed to chuck, Tom, but I do know that he made quite a nice snack of our petunias.
Great portrait Beverly!

He looks full of self-confidence. Would you have expected him to be timid?
Beverly Andrighetti: I suspect you are correct, Lisl. They are supposedly quite aggressive if they feel threatened.
Reminds me of a poem

how much wood could a woodchuck chuck
if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck
If a woodchuck could chuck wood!

This is a woodchuck or groundhog or my poem is totally irrelevant
Beverly Andrighetti: Your poem is right on the money, Bill. It is a groundhog.
